PTA

  • Chaired the elementary school publishing center for 3 years. Published over 1,000 children's books and several anthologies of poetry, fairy tales and memoirs
  • PTA Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Member of numerous PTA committees in elementary and middle school.

Committee on the New Compact for Learning

  • 1993-1994 served on Nanuet's New Compact for Learning Committee. Participated in developing and Mission Statement and Vision Statements which are still in place.

Nanuet Family Resource Center &
21C Early Childhood Round Table

  • Member of the Nanuet School District Committee which developed the mission for its Family Resource Center based on the Yale Model.
  • Member 21C Early Childhood Round Table group which addressed Family Resource Centers.
  • Currently developing the website for Rockland 21C under the direction of Mimi Hoffman, 21C Coordinator
